A little over a week from debuting kimbralou at Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival Brisbane (MBFF) on 29/8/18 kimbralou was showcasing 15 looks at the Designer Q Runway on 8/9/18.
Again, Melody, from Star Dust Disco (SDD) was sponsored to facilitate the looks being accessorised.
The Runway Director declined my request to have the kimbralou Model Squad join the cast models to walk kimbralou. The response was the same as with the MBFF Next Gen stance.
Styling the Model Squad for the VIP seating, I arranged, just consolidated the fact that there was more brand building value via this means and again I could blend in to remain anonymous to most. With this I ‘forgot’ to wear the Designer lanyard tag and still did not see the point in coming out after the Cast Models being seen awkwardly waving or being clapped at on the arm of the finale Model.
I never stay back of house either to ensure the looks come out perfectly. I prefer to watch the show from my seat. There has to be trust and never has any Model disappointed.
My process is to make it my business to engage with each model at fittings ensuring that they know, without a shadow of a doubt, all I expect is for them to own themselves in their uniqueness. That is the magic formula that creates ‘a show.’
